Well, this last weekend was Otafest Lite, and my last con for 2009, and it was definitely a good ending to this convention season.

Otafest Lite is in it's first year, and as such it was just a one day excuse to get good friends together and float around having fun, which is just what we had.

It was so laid back and so super fun to just see people again!! Plus side was that it was in my new home city, so absolutely zero travel time. Down side was since I had just transfered to my new job, I couldn't get the whole day off, so I had to bail at 3pm so I could get to work.
Still, good times were had.

I'd decided on being Gokudera (aaaaanyone still surprised by this?? ) from the Reborn Concert poster in 2008 ( [link] )since it looked like one of his warmer versions and it looked like I could get out of it easily when I had to change at work. So, my roommate ~Starlla and I had some last minute running around to do the day before the con to get some supplies to finish our cosplays since I needed headphones and she needed more fur for her Christmas version of Paine from Final Fantasy X-2. As we were walking out the door, I discovered that ~Starlla had recently lost her Yuna due to various reasons, so her and ~misfitghost's YuRiPa was now down a member.

I'm an idiot and I love stress apparently, so with less than 24 hours until the convention, I decided that it was logical to create a new cosplay!! I've always wanted to cosplay Yuna from X-2 again when I had a group with me, so ~Starlla, ~misfitghost and I had already agreed to do this group together at some point in time.

The point in time just came alot earlier than we expected.


So somehow, with a LOT of help from ~Starlla, ~misfitghost, and my friend Mikey who lovingly painted my guns, it actually came together!! So the first few hours of Otafest Lite was spent in crazy spazztastic bliss as the X-2 crew, and then I changed into my Gokudera cosplay for a nice and comfy and especially WARM way to spend the rest of the day!! Got to have an awesome photo shoot with both characters with ~Kyouheikutie (I'm sorry, I still cut and paste your name since I don't want to butcher the spelling!! ) and ~Miliway got some pictures of our X-2 group as well!

Got to see *iChIgO-aLiCe again and meet ~DJDani-Photography and we all got to hang out in the cafeteria for lunch!

All round it was just a nice and relaxing convention and I had alot of fun. It's nice to just be able to sit and hang out and chill.

I highly approve.

It was a fantastic way to end the convention season, and now it's time to start working on the cosplays for next year!!!
I'll definitely need all the time I can get, some of these are rather ambitious projects, and I'm excited to get cracking!!!!!
